To say that Dallas loves the sport of archery is an understatement. In fact, it may be impossible to describe his passion for a sport that was foreign to him five years ago. His focus, drive, and discipline have carried him to not only becoming a top-notch archer, but it has also enabled him to make history as the first African American to place first in a US national tournament.

Dallas was introduced to archery in the basement of a Brooklyn public school by Coach Larry Brown. Coach Larry Brown, former Head Coach of Columbia University's Women's Archery team, developed a free program designed to give lower-income youth an outlet for discovering, exploring, and learning the sport of archery. This archery program opened up the world of archery to Dallas, and Coach Larry Brown saw that young ten-year-old-Dallas had promising potential. Coach Larry Brown was correct.

With over 35 medals and trophies from local and national archery tournaments, Dallas has displayed mastery skills and is making waves in the archery community.

Larry Brown has dedicated his life to archery. He first started shooting as a child at a garbage dump in Queens, with a bow carved from a neighborhood tree. His skill launched him into the Ivy League, as head coach of the women's archery team at Columbia University.
